DRAINAGE DEVELOPMENT IN THE RT 04 RW XII HOUSING PURI TUK SONGO

Alur jaringan drainase di Perumahan Puri Tuk Songo, Cacaban, Kota Magelang, pada dasarnya mengikuti kontur tanah (ketinggian tanah) dan mengikuti pola jaringan jalan perumahan di lingkungan Perumahan Puri Tuk Songo. Sistem drainase di Perumahan Puri Tuk Songo masih menggabungkan sistem pembuangan air hujan dengan sistem pembuangan air kotor rumah tangga (limbah rumah tangga). Seharusnya, sistem drainase di lingkungan perumahan harus direncanakan suatu sistem jaringan drainase yang mampu memadupadankan antara pembuangan air hujan dan air kotor rumah tangga dengan kapasitas drainase yang ada dalam lingkungan perumahan. Seiring dengan pertumbuhan jumlah penduduk perumahan, ekosistem yang berubah dan pembangunan rumah penduduk di lingkungan perumahan, hal tersebut sering terabaikan, baik oleh pengembang perumahan maupun oleh penduduk yang menghuni perumahan. Salah satu dampaknya terlihat pada saluran drainase yang berada pada kontur tanah yang paling rendah, berupa genangan air. Genangan air yang tidak mendapatkan solusi menyebabkan gangguan pada aktifitas warga, kerusakan pada bangunan dan jalan.

Untuk mengurangi genangan air waktu hujan di Lingkungan RT 04 RW XII Perumahan Puri Tuk Songo, solusinya adalah pembangunan drainase dengan melihat kontur tanah yang rendah serta luas drainase lama dirubah (ditambah lebarnya dan  ditambah kedalamannya) sehingga kapasitas air dapat menampung air hujan dan air limbah rumah tangga yang nantinya dapat mempercepat aliran air ke saluran pembuang ke Kali Progo.
